ABOUT US
Mike Diorides immigrated to the United States from Cyprus in 1948.
He settled in Norfolk with his mother and brother, and went to work for his
uncle in his restaurant. After working at the Fleet restaurant for many years, he became co-owner. Mike successfully operated the Fleet restaurant until the Navy purchased the property, forcing him to seek a new location. Wanting to stay close to the Naval Base, he and his wife, Eglie, established Mike's Pizza in 1977.
In 1989, Mike and Eglie's daughter, Helen and her husband David, took over the daily operations. Her sisters, Chrissie and Maria, joined them and they continue to use the same family recipes and quality imported ingredients to make the best food possible.
